Mattias Lindfors was selected "Puolustusvoimain Urheilukoulu". He will start his military service in Lahti 29th of September 2008. After tests 79 young athletes from different sports were selected to Urheilikoulu. Among 79 athletes is one girl.

Heidi Tenkanen is the new European Champion in Laser Radial youth under 17 category! Annina Takala had also an excellent regatta in France and she finished 3rd in the same under 17 category. "It was really a great moment to see both Annina and Heidi on the podium at the same time and listen our national anthem "Maamme" in the prize giving ceremony in Douarnenez. The regatta was well organized and we really enjoyed our stay in France", Tuomas Tenkanen said.

Tuula Tenkanen will travel today together with her coach Minna Aalto to China. Olympic Games will start next Friday and Laser Radials will have their first race at the Olympics on 12th of August.

Tuula is Laser Radial Youth World Champion 2007 and she finished 12th at Laser Radial Women´s World´s this year. We can expect challenging and exciting racing in China.
