The new ISAF sailing world ranking list was published today. Tuula wasn´t racing in Miami, because she was concentrating in her studies and that dropped her down two places and she is now 20th in the world list. Tuula´s younger sister Heidi scored her best points so far in Miami and climbed up 20 positions! She is now 76th best female Radial racer in the world. She made her debut to the international list only less than year ago in April 2008 and her position was then 301.
The next world ranking event for Tuula, Heidi and the other MA Sailing Team olympic class racers will be Trofeo Princesa Sofia in Palma de Mallorca, Spain in April.

Racing report
Heidi sailed very well in Miami and her final result was 17th. She scored also 4 World Cup points. Both Heidi and Veronika were a little bit too quick at starts and got altogether five OCS/BFD. That was too much and both could have done much better without these disqualifications. We are going to do a lot of start and downwind training in Murcia training camp. Veronikas final results was 33rd.
First racing day
Heidi had a good opening day finishing today 17th and 6th. She is now 11th overall. Vroni didn´t succeed in the first race, but the second one went well and she finished 12th. She is currently on 23rd place overall. The wind was from east round 10 knots when Radials were racing.
Regatta preparations
Heidi Tenkanen and Veronika Haid have been training on the waters of Key Biscayne since Wednesday and everything is now ready for racing.
Our team arrived Miami last Saturday and pre-regatta training has been intensive consisting of both physical preparation and on water training. Women´s Radial fleet is strong and top names like Olympic champion Anna Tunnicliffe(USA) and 2008 World Championship bronce medallist Andrea Brewster(GBR) are also taking part in this second event of this season´s World Cup series.
Our Olympic sailor Tuula Tenkanen is not taking part in this regatta, because she is at the moment concentrating on her final exams at school, which take place in February and March. Minna Aalto is coaching Heidi and Vroni in Miami.
