Mattias Lindfors was ranked 96th on the latest ISAF World sailing ranking list published 11th of April. This is the first time Mattias reached top 100 in the world sailing ranking list. He climbed up 12 positions from the prevous ranking position which was 108th.

Mattias Lindfors won  Finnish national olympic qualifier series.

Pierre Collura was leading before Palma World cup ragatta, but Mattias was clearly better than Pierre  and Fredrik Westman in Palma World Cup.

Finnish National  Olympic Committee will name 2012 London Olympic sailors in late May.

Laser and Laser Radial were only classes with national qualifier series in Finland as in all other sailing classes there has been only one sailor or team/class with London 2012 olympic campaign. For sailors in other classes the challenge was qualify country to the games.

In Laser classes the first step was qualify country and than decide the winner in three regatta qualification series(Europeans 2011 in Helsinki, Perth 2012 World Championships and Palma World Cup 2012).
